Our opinion: The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona model is a sport chronograph launched in 1963 by the company Rolex nv. The Cosmograph Daytona belongs to the category of professional watches within the Rolex range. It was originally designed for racing drivers. Four generations of Daytona were released in 1963, 1988, 2000 and 2016 respectively. The first had a manual winding movement, the second had an automatic winding movement and the third and fourth had a Rolex manufacture movement. The world record at auction is a Rolex Daytona that belonged to Paul Newman and sold at Philips a nyc for $17.75 million in 2017. so the original is the 4 digit version of which this is one. What makes it even rarer is that it is part of the very first series in 1970 with a pre sigma dial or still t swiss t only. The extremely rare MK0 millerighe pushers in brass have been produced only a few years on the 6265 and 6263 we find them mainly on configurations in Paul Newman dial which dates only from this same year 1970 and very early 1971 or still on the 6240 and often change by Rolex in service. This one is in a perfect state of conservation, surely never polished, with a dial where the counters are still very white, very rare because they are often blackened by time. A real museum piece that will find its place in any serious collection
