Our opinion: The model of Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is a sport chronograph launched in 1963 by the company Rolex sa. The Cosmograph Daytona belongs to the category of professional watches within the Rolex range. It was originally designed for racing drivers. Four generations of Daytona were released in 1963, 1988, 2000 and 2016 respectively. The first had a manual winding movement, the second had an automatic winding movement and the third and fourth had a Rolex manufacture movement. The world record at auction is a Rolex Daytona that belonged to Paul Newman and sold at Philips a nyc for $17.75 million in 2017. so the original is the 4 digit version of which this is one. Ours is in perfect condition with a dial where the counters have become brown with a perfect patina and very sought after on these models because very rare and the tritium points have a superb patina. These tropical models are very popular at the moment.
