Case : Excelent case that retains its original shape with still very present angles and a still very thick case for a predaytona which had mostly thin cases. Serial numbers and reference perfectly legible.

Dial : Very rare UNDERLINE and in perfect condition, matt texture called “grene”, swiss only patina and underline with its original tritium which reacts to UV rays and the hands which match as well.

Diameter : 36mm

Bracelet : Riveted oyster bracelet in perfect condition with all its links and little stretch. Reference 7205 endlink 60.

Our opinion: The Predaytona is the last generation of chronograph preceding the daytona released in 1963, several references follow one another 6034, 6234 and the 6238 being the last produced in this series. Released in 1962/63, they were still produced at the same time as the first daytona reference ref 6239. Several dials were used in this reference, some of which were extremely rare such as black gilt. This model was also used in a James Bond movie. Rare first version of the underline dial produced in a short period of time in 1963, its particular texture is unique with the grene white dial on the 6238 because they were almost exclusively found in the silver dial with small counters which makes the watch a little smaller on the wrist. A real collector’s item with a dial in very good condition and a serial number that perfectly matches its year of production and the underline period.
